My name is Alex Skidmore. I was born and raised in Fort Mill, SC and graduated from Nation Ford High School. I went on to attend college at Pfeiffer University where I played lacrosse. After college I got into sales for a wine distributing company. After excelling there and gaining a sales background, I went on to gain more experience in the sales force becoming a Regional Sales Manager for a metering company based out of York, SC. After gaining that experience and traveling the country selling metering systems, I figured it was time to settle into somewhere I can plant my feet long term and mix my sales skills with my entrepreneur mindset. I found my calling with Farm Bureau where I can be a one stop shop for all insurance needs. 

My wife and I now reside in Chester, SC and thus far, I have really been enjoying my career here at Farm Bureau. I love getting up and going into work knowing that I have the opportunity to help people make insurance decisions stress free. I enjoy working closely with business partners and individuals throughout the community. I see myself in this role long term and growing my business here until I retire.
